Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tsp tea leaves
- 2 tsp sugar (or as per taste)
- 1 small piece of crushed ginger
- 2–3 crushed cardamoms
- 1 kulhad (earthen cup) for tandoori flavor
Steps to Make Tandoori Chai
- Boil water, add tea leaves, sugar, and crushed ginger.
- Let it simmer for 3–4 minutes until color deepens.
- Add milk and cardamom, then boil for another 3 minutes.
- Meanwhile, heat a kulhad (earthen cup) directly on the gas flame until very hot.
- Strain the hot tea carefully into the kulhad — it will sizzle and release that smoky aroma.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your authentic tandoori chai!
